Coming Out the Other Side


With COVID vaccinations rolling in, the light at the end of the tunnel appears to be the brightest it’s been since the beginning of this pandemic. The trick, now, is to stay focused, stay positive, and make it out the other side. We have been fortunate as a company to have the government program subsidize our wages and our employees’ wages. We’ve cut back on spending and are focused on customer service now more than ever. We just wanted to give on update on where we are and what's been happening.


We had some great projects during the past summer, photos for a home builder and some agriculture photos for a bank client to mention a few. These projects involved a little travel, but we managed to practice safe COVID measures while still being able to do our job. Additionally, the photos were taken outside, thus reducing our risk of getting sick or getting others sick. Below are a few samples from our summer projects.

Over the past few years, we have had an increase in corporate photography, which we like to think is a result of our clean and simple lighting techniques, our maintained professional attitude, and our ability to make our subjects feel relaxed and our photographs look natural. We make sure every person views and is happy with their photos before they leave, and if we need to take more, we do. The files are then sent to our photoshop guy, who takes the time and patience to make the photo look even better.

Recently we shot some photos for Calgary Tourism and for a home developer client via ZGM. These, of course, will be coming your way soon.

We have a new updated website that is now starting to include video or motion. That's right, these old dogs are learning new tricks. It's a steep learning curve and it’s not quite second nature yet, but we feel with our strong lighting background we can handle those smaller video projects for web or social media. Take a look at our video for Dayton Boots. More video is in the works, so stay tuned.

Once things start opening up again, the rush for tourism and travel will probably be at the top of the list. If you are a resort or tourism company/organization, then now is the time to get geared up to get a part of those spending dollars. The same goes for restaurants and other companies in the hospitality world (breweries, distilleries, coffee shops, etc.). It's time to stand out a little and get ahead of the competition.
