Roth and Ramberg meet a Loch Ness skeptic

Calendar

It’s June 1st, time to turn the page on your Roth and Ramberg Calendar. This month, we would like to introduce you to a man named Adrian Shine.

He has a great character face and a wonderful personality, but he’s also one of the skeptics we met on our Loch Ness Adventure. He does not believe there is a gigantic sea monster roaming around Loch Ness. Adrian is a man of Science and according to his science, there just isn’t enough food for something so big.

In the 1980’s, he was a big part of Operation Deepscan – a gigantic undertaking that involved numerous boats using sonars to scour the waters of Loch Ness. The idea was to see if there was anything large and living down there. His conclusion was basically that there wasn’t. The locals are quick to dismiss Adrian as a naysayer, but it’s obvious to us Adrian is a big proponent of all things Loch Ness.

He designed the Loch Ness Exhibition in Drumnadrochit, which basically disputes a giant cyrptid living in the Loch. It was ironic to us that there were stacks of Nessie’s available for purchase in the gift shop though.

Here is an interesting video on youtube if you want to learn more.

Another way to learn more is to go to our website and check out our ‘behind the scenes’ magazine and read all about our adventures with Adrian and the rest of the people we met in Loch Ness.

OR download the app and read it on your iPad (the app is free).
