It’s March 1st and for those of you who have the annual Roth and Ramberg Calendar, well, it’s time to turn the page. This month features some brave Russian swimmers who swam across Loch Ness. So brave in fact, they were not concerned about being attacked or eaten by the Loch Ness Monster.
We knew the event was happening, so we wandered down in hopes of getting some kind of photograph. A strong muscular swimmer probably in his 30’s was first to arrive, followed every few minutes by yet another swimmer. It was interesting to see the young winner shivering with cold, where as the older, more rotund swimmers were laughing, relaxing and not cold at all… something to be said for vodka and fine dining apparently.
Now, if you want read more about our encounter with the Russians or any of the stories in our calendar, you have two choices. You can go to our website and view our ‘In Search of the Loch Ness Monster’ digital magazine and read all about it. However, if you have an iPad or an iPhone it might be more fun to download the Roth and Ramberg App from iTunes!
The App has the whole story of this years’ calendar trip, and also last years’ too if you want some light reading. It’s free and in the case of this years’ magazine, it includes a few audio stories and a video you don’t want to miss. Here are some sample pages:
Oh, and if you would like a calendar, fire us an email and we will send one out… assuming there are still some left, of course.
